Stay Strong

Diane is a single mother of two young boys. Over the past several years, she has undergone so much hardship: her relationship fell apart, she bounced from place to place with her boys to find stable shelter, and even after a reliable job, she was laid off.

When Maintenance for Moms met Diane, she had just experienced yet another major stressor: her car broke down while picking up her son from school. She was overwhelmed and discouraged. How would she get her boys to school? How could she get to her own school so that she could get the degree she needs to provide for her family?

It was our great joy to come alongside Diane and repair her car for free. We got her back on the road so that she could continue getting her boys to school safely and working on her education.

Listen to what she wrote us:

After telling my story and how I came across their company, [MFM] kindly explained to me the process and that [they] will be communicating through the entire process. I am amazed at how wonderful and at ease in the entire process in getting my car fixed. [The team] made things so smooth from the very beginning. I didn't have to worry about anything because everything was all set up ahead of time. The best part was when [MFM] informed me that my car is all ready for pick up and not to worry about payment because everything is taken care of.

I am so happy and grateful that I am able to be in a safe, reliable car. A big thank you to Maintenance for Moms, their support in helping me get back on the road reminded me to continue to be a strong mother but also to keep thriving and be the best for my children.
