Hope After Grief

Maintenance for Moms met Lupy in March just after COVID shelter in place began. Her husband suddenly passed away in 2012 and has been caring for her two older sons and grandson while working a full time and part time job. When we had her car inspected, we found it wouldn't be able to pass smog without major repairs.  We decided that Lupy was the perfect candidate to purchase a newly used car.  The Shopmonkey and Maintenance for Moms team all gathered in a parking lot with masks on, to celebrate the delivery of Lupy’s new car. We blessed her and she drove off with her boys.

I want to thank everyone involved at Maintenance for Moms for helping me and my family through this tough time. I have been single for so long, not wanting to ask others for help and trying to keep my family together has been rough throughout the years. I work two jobs just to get the rent paid and having extra money for a reliable car has always had to be placed as a second priority. If not for the help of Maintenance for Moms, I would not have had the opportunity to meet such a wonderful group of people, who made me and my family feel welcome. We are very grateful for the gift you have given us, words can not express our gratitude. Thank you all so much.”

Asking for help is why God created a community. So that you do not have to do it on your own. When you feel overwhelmed, reach out. Tell of your struggle, don’t hold it inside and suffer alone. At Maintenance for Moms, our heart is to walk with you while we help repair your car - so we can’t wait to hear from you.
