Radical Generosity

Kayla is a single mom of 4 boys (9,7,3,1). She just moved to San Jose in December. Moving to a new city is challenging and isolating (especially during a pandemic) and starting a whole new life after divorce adds so much more burden.  But Kayla is staying positive - praying for strength and to just keep moving forward one step at a time. So in this season she has been looking for support wherever she can find it and that is when she was referred to Maintenance for Moms. Her 2000 Tahoe was in bad shape and after inspection we were looking at $5,000 worth of repairs! That's when we started praying.

And as He always does, God answered in a way that was even more than we could ask or imagine. An acquaintance who knew of MFM was working to sell her car and when she contacted us, she generously lowered the price of her car to exactly our budget. We were able to have it inspected, washed, smogged and purchased for less than what the repair of her car would have been!

Kayla writes: “Thank you all so much! I can't believe it...I’m so appreciative for everything you ladies are the best! My boys absolutely love their new car. It's a true blessing.” Lisa, who sold us the car,  was beyond excited to get to have her trusted, well maintained vehicle go to someone who will treasure it. We all left beaming with the joy that comes from radical generosity.
